The first game got on its way early at around 6:20 pm since enough players had arrive early. With some late arrivals, the second game was started. Richard, hanks for helping getting the second game organized and started.
Game on Field #1 ended with a win for the O40 against O50. Nobody wanted to tell me the score, so it must have been bad. Game #2 ended with a tight 3:2 for the white team, with Christy, Jonathan Del Cid, and others.
The Cultural Night with the Central America team was a great success with over 70 people celebrating the international heritage of the FWSC. There was so much food, making me wonder who would all eat this. When Betsy and I left at 10:30 pm, it was almost all gone.
We had four new FWSC member application last night, with three paid membership fees. We welcome Oscar Escobar and Oscar Jr. Escobar from Guatemala, Jose Alvaranga from El Salvador and Haris Hrelja from Bosnia. The next Friday FWSC meeting to initiate and welcome these and other new members is Friday, July 12th at 8:00 pm after Friday Night Soccer.
