Outdoor field closure due to bad weather didn't stop up playing last night. Will Robbins from Empowered Sports on Lima opened up the indoor soccer field for us. Not all committed players showed up, but we had some younger high school players supporting us to play a competitive game.
Best Player and MVP last night was Jonathan Del Cid, grandson of Jose Del Cid. Friends call Jose "Batidore", due his quick movements similar a whisk. Looks like Jonathan learned a lot his grandfather. We hope that Jonathan will participate at the FWSC Youth tryouts in early June.
Best Goal of the night came from Andy Stout, from 15 yards, sliced by the right goal post. Afterwards we stayed for a beer and watched beach volleyball. Next time we will participate right after soccer, just need to take the cleats off....
